The Spotted Gastropub in Las Vegas

I'd say Vegas is getting sassy with the recent opening of English's Quintessentially British Gastropub in Town Square! For some of you who might be wondering what a Gastropub is,

it's basically an english bar and restaurant that serves high-end beer and food. This one has afternoon tea {which to me is pure luxury and elegantly decadent!} But, if you're not a beer drinker like myself, have no fear, there are other drinks too. I ordered a mojito, to my pleasant surprise it was DELISH!

Usually Gastropubs are old pubs that have been updated but retain the traditional character of an English pub. Interestingly though, this English Quintessential Pub exists in a space formerly occupied by a wine restaurant, rather than being fashioned from an old bar, the dining environment is done up more to a modern restaurant than your typical pub, with table service being the primary mode of ordering. The furnishings are simple, yet elegant and the food is typical to a Gastropub food with a dash of class.
On the whole, this Gastropub achieves the quaint cozy with a modern comfortable ambience that makes you feel transported from the over the top glitzy glam of Las Vegas. But if you're imagining exposed brick walls, pressed tin ceilings, small porcine figurines in the windowsill, potted herbs that transport you to its London gastropub counterparts, you will not see it. However, have no reservations, there is a hot fuschia bar loaded with spirits to get you in the right mood and spirit (no pun intended;).

The menu is simple, consisting obviously of British-oriented specialties like cottage’s pie, fish and chips, etc...but if you're looking for something different than your typical Las Vegas casino atmosphere, this place is a good change to the Vegas scenery. What's more, the staff is friendly. The food however, is average and expensive for the dishes being served. Prices are definitely higher than what you might expect at a typical pub.

  1. Thank you SO much for your review and pictures! I haven't been to this pub yet, but when I do, I won't be disappointed expecting to be "transported to London." Instead, I'll look forward to enjoying my Stella with a chic atmosphere. :)
