{New starts and new beginnings are wonderful..."What I like most about change is that it's a synonymy for 'hope'. If you are taking a risk, what you are really saying is, I believe in tomorrow and I will be part of it." - Linda Ellerbee}

Can you guys believe we're half way through the year already? I'm honestly really baffled on how quickly these last few months passed by. Wasn't it just December? How have you been doing on your resolutions or goals for 2013? Personally, I still have quiet a few things on my 2013 goal's list to reach. Thankfully, there's still six more months left. The fact that half the year slipped through my fingers, had me reflecting nonetheless. One thing I have to say though, is that as fast as these months flew, there have been many welcomed lessons learned (as if being slapped by them in fact).

The most valuable one I learned is that some expectations are just not realistic or pan out as one may have imagined. When this happens, there are two choices one can make. One, either to cry over spilled milk as it were, or two, to be flexible and adjust to current circumstances. I chose the latter. For the sake of mental peace and a calm heart, I find it is best to ponder over exactly what I had hoped for and understand why I cling to it, then make a conscious decision to refocus and find a more realistic expectation that is within reach for now; for any expectation that drags on and on without being realized, can make one sick at heart. Life's too short to remain in a prolonged state of misery. So if there's been any failed goals thus far, it's best to move on and just keep on trying out different routes.  Here's to trying something different and new beginnings.
